KIND research seminar with Michael H. Best : how successful growth happens ?

Institut Mines-Telecom Business School invites you to a research seminar, organized by Marie Carpenter (KIND Research Group), on 21 june 2019 with Michael H. Best, professor emeritus of economics at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, as a guest.

He will introduce How Growth Really Happens: The Making of Economic Miracles through Production, Governance, and Skills (Winner of the 2018 Schumpeter Prize Competition), a groundbreaking study that shows how countries can create innovative, productionbased economies for the twenty-first century. The seminar, discussed by William Lazonick (SOAS University of London and Institut Mines-Telecom Business School) will take place at Telecom ParisTech (46, rue Barrault 75013 PARIS) from 16h00 to 18h00.


About Michael H. Best

Mike Best was codirector of the Center for Industrial Competitiveness. He has held numerous academic fellowships and participated in development projects with the United Nations, the World Bank, and governments in more than twenty countries. He is the author of The New Competition: Institutions of Industrial Restructuring and The New Competitive Advantage: The Renewal of American Industry.
