On 7 February 2020, the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation announced the final results of the invitation for institutions to bid for certification by the Carnot Research Label.  The Carnot ‘Telecom & Digital Society’ Centre for Research & Development, in which Institut Mines-Télécom Business School is actively involved, has once again been awarded the Label for a period of 4 years.  The renewal of this certification is a major recognition of the quality of the research carried out by IMT-BS with its socio-economic partners.

Since 2006, the Carnot Research Label encourages the development of partnerships between public research laboratories and business organisations. The Telecom & Digital Society Centre for research and development is mainly run by schools from the IMT group, including: Institut Mines-Télécom Business School, IMT Atlantique, Télécom Paris, Télécom SudParis, and its Eurecom branch.  The Carnot M.I.N.E.S Research & Development Group, which manages the research carried out with companies by IMT Atlantique, IMT Lille Douai, IMT Mines Albi, IMT Mines Alès, Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne as well as its strategic partner Mines ParisTech, has also been awarded the certification.  As the outcome of IMT’s strategic positioning and mission to carry out high-quality academic research in partnership with business organisations, the renewal of the Carnot Research Label means that IMT will receive external funding for its research activities over a period of several years.
