A research center for innovation in the social sciences, Institut Mines-Telecom’s LASCO IdeaLab – including researchers from Institut Mines-Telecom Business School, IMT Atlantique and Mines Saint-Étienne – strives to be an original platform for collaboration in industrial innovation and digital technology for the academic social sciences research community.
Its scientific objective consists of analyzing the conditions under which meaning emerges at a time when the effects of the digital turn is felt across global social, political, cultural and economic contexts. As a result, individual subjectivities, interpersonal relationships, organizational behaviors and political spaces are subject to significant shifts. Particular attention is paid to issues of identity in the digital world, citizenship and rights, digital ethics, issues of privacy and the globalization of certain economic models.
