Your final year on the Institut Mines-Telecom Business School Grande Ecole Programme builds on what was learnt in years 1 and 2, by providing specialist knowledge and skills in a new discipline or professional area.  At this level, you will also develop your ability to reflect critically on theory and professional practice.

Institut Mines-Telecom Business School offers a wide range of specialisms for students to choose from (also referred to as Majeures in French).

 

This specialism will provide you with the technical and managerial skills to help businesses analyse, develop and manage efficiently their information systems.

The course focuses on developing your knowledge and understanding of how information systems play a strategic role in innovation.  You’ll also learn how they improve the performance of business processes and the competitive edge of organisations.  Course structure: 6 months of lectures and seminars + 6-month work placement.

The Information Systems Management specialism will prepare you for building a career managing information systems as a consultant or in business.  You’ll learn the skills required for effective information systems project management and change management at all levels (strategic, economic, organizational, human and technological). Course structure: mixed group of business and engineering school students – 6 months of lectures and seminars + 5-month minimum length work placement.

The Digital and Media Project Management specialism will prepare you for building a career managing the full spectrum of media projects (internet, TV, cinema, video games).  You’ll learn how to provide project management support services and develop communication skills applied to the New Media sector.  You’ll also learn how to negotiate broadcasting rights, as well as how to broadcast and promote video material in a variety of formats.

Course structure: 1 academic semester + 1 semester work placement.

This specialism will give you a double skillset in market finance and applied financial data management information systems.  At the end of the course, you’ll be equipped to manage both the functional and technological aspects specific to this area of work.  You’ll also acquire the knowledge and skills required to understand financial markets and their products, whilst at the same time being able to interact effectively with those working in the technical and project management functions in market finance.
