Admission requirements

You are a student from a country of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation or any other country and wish to study at Institut Mines-Telecom Business School. We are here to guide you and help you with the application process.

Here are the main steps to enroll at Institut Mines-Telecom Business School:

  1. Nomination by the partner institution
  2. Online registration
  3. Administrative registration upon your arrival in France.

Nomination

Contact your home university to find out if they have signed a cooperation agreement with Institut Mines-Telecom Business School in your field and at your level of study. You can also use our interactive map of partner institution networks to find out if your university has a cooperation agreement with IMT-BS.

Nomination deadlines:

Fall semester: April 15

Spring semester:  October 15

Online registration

Registration deadlines for exchange students:

Fall semester: May 30

Spring semester: November 30

All applications to an international exchange program must be made by completing an online form.

Online application form

Fill out the application form while respecting all the instructions and then submit the supporting documents online.  Once you have entered all the information in the form, you need to finalize and validate your online registration. You will then receive a confirmation email, which will guide you through the rest of the procedure and provide a link to your student account.

Creation of an online account

After submitting your online application form, you will receive an email at your email address asking you to create your personal account. This is where you will have to upload all the requested documents directly.

Supporting documents to be submitted

Mandatory documents to be included in your application:

  • Identity document (passport or ID card)
  • Passport photo
  • Cover letter
  • Transcript of records
  • Learning agreement signed by you and your home university with your course selection, or Erasmus+ Learning Agreement
  • Certificate of English (B2 level) for non-English speakers
  • Certificate of French (B2 level) for non-French speakers.

Application submission

When all the supporting documents are online, please submit your application by clicking the “Submit your application” button. It will be received and reviewed by the Department for International Relations and Development.

Validation of your application

The Department for International Relations and Development will process your application. If you are admitted to study at Institut Mines-Telecom Business School, you will receive an admission notice.

This is a validation of the application file. The application will be definitively confirmed after the decision made by the assignment committee convened by the Department for International Relations and Development.

Admission

Wait for the email confirmation of the acceptance (or not) of your application containing:

  • The admission letter to IMT-BS
  • The information kit with the list of documents required for your administrative registration, the dates of the welcome meetings, the list of contact persons.

Students from outside the European Union will receive the original admission letter by email or by post, in order to facilitate the process of obtaining their visa.

Administrative registration and practical information

Once your application to Institut Mines-Telecom Business School has been accepted, you must then proceed with your administrative registration.

The administrative registration will enable you to:

  • Obtain your student card
  • Access to the digital work environment (student IS)
  • Register for student social security.

Upon your administrative registration, you will receive a welcome kit with several leaflets that will be useful for your installation in Evry.

Once the administrative registration has been completed, you must contact the Registrar’s Office of the program you are enrolling in, in order to proceed with the pedagogical registration (choice of options…) if necessary.

Students who are citizens of a country of the European Union, the European Economic Area or the Swiss Confederation: you do not need a student visa or a residence permit to study or live in France. Just make sure you have a valid identity card or passport.

You are a citizen of a country outside the European Union, the European Economic Area or the Swiss Confederation and you live in one of the following countries: Algeria, Argentine, Benin, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Chile, China, Colombia, Comoros, Congo Brazzaville, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Djibouti, Egypt, Gabon, Guinea, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mexico, Morocco, Peru, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, South Korea, Syrian Arab Republic, Taiwan, Togo, Tunisia, Turkey, United States, Vietnam.

In addition to applying to IMT-BS, you must also contact Campus France in your country of residence in order to apply for a student visa.

All students must be affiliated with the French general social security system (CPAM) via the dedicated website (more information will be available soon).

If you are an EU student, please bring your European Health Insurance Card (available during your exchange).

If you are a student from Quebec, you will need to provide the SE 401-Q-106 form.

Once registered at Institut Mines-Telecom Business School, you must activate your electronic student account, which will allow you to have access to the IMT-BS student email system, to the electronic version of your school certificate, to the online courses and documents provided to you by the faculty.

Activation and access to the account are to be done on the Institut Mines-Telecom Business School student IS website (OpenPortal) in the “Digital Workspace” section.

Each semester, the Department for International Relations and Development organizes welcome days and events dedicated to international students, usually in September and January. These days are an opportunity to discover the campus environment, the city of Evry and to meet other international students.
