ECIS2023: European Conference on Information Systems

Marie BIA FIGUEIREDO, Associate Professor in Management Information Systems at Institut Mines-Telecom Business School (IMT Business School), is taking part in the European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS2023) from June 13 to 16, 2023 in Kristiansand, Norway.

The theme of this conference is: Co-creating Sustainable Digital Futures.

Marie BIA FIGUEIREDO is co-chair of the “IS development and project management” track. She will be alongside Jacob Nørbjerg (Copenhagen Business School) and Manuel Wiesche (Dortmund University). She will also have the pleasure of chairing three thematic sessions on current topics such as :
– AI and the development professions,
– the use of low-code development platforms,
– and agile approaches to IT development.

ECIS2023 is one of AIS’s most selective international conferences, with over 700 participants expected this year, and an acceptance rate of around 30%.

In conjunction with the conference, Marie BIA FIGUEIREDO will be presenting her current work on leadership in agile teams at the CNOW SIG workshop “Exploring critical challenges for the changing nature of work” on June 12: “Metaphors of power to study leadership practices within a remote agile project team”.
